About

I originally started this blog to record the adventures of our family’s cross country road trip in 2010. Now, here I am still blogging away.

When I write, I learn…about myself, about life, about people, about God.  I love it when I am surprised by the words that appear on the paper, or in this case, on the screen. When I write, I feel close to God; He reveals himself to me. It is a gift to be able to experience Him this way. When I write, I have fun – most of the time.

Most of my writing is scribbled in journals and notebooks and that is just fine with me. But in recent years I have had a strange sort of a burning to write and share it with others. Does that sound ridiculous? Or even self-indulgent? It does to me. Who would really want to hear what I have to say? The world is drowning in reading material. Why should I add to it? I can’t help but think that I will be just another indistinguishable voice in the daily clamor of 21st century life.

But then, as I was having this debate with myself, I read somewhere that if I want to write I should write, whether anyone reads it or not. If I have a need to write, I should write. Period. And so here I am. Regardless if anyone ever reads it – though it is a lot more fun for me when someone does!

If you want to know more about me, you can find it in the pages of my blog.

I hope you enjoy what you find here. Feel free to post a comment and share your thoughts.

Peace & Love,
Nichole

  1. hi Nichole

I was trying to copy your post to ms. Glennon with my phone, but I am not yet very skilled with the touch screen. so I wound up on your blog while touching your name on the screen. I want to tell you that I felt a lot of comfort in reading what the Holy Spirit had inspired you to write.

    1. Dear fxf, thank you for sharing that with me. I am always so blessed when the Lord brings people comfort or encouragement or joy through my writing. Sometimes I get discouraged and wonder if it’s worth my time and effort, and messages like yours remind me that it is. Thank you for taking the time to read me posts and write to me. In His Love, Nichole

    1. Thank you so much for the nomination. It was very kind of you to include me! I am not sure if I will be able to participate, though I may try. (Just a little swamped with work right now and that poetry workshop took quite a bit out of me!)
